Become like a Child | Mark 9:30-37
In our readings this week, Jesus challenges his disciples to take a path that is wholly unfamiliar to them. It is the path of becoming a child.
Instead of grasping for power and arguing over who is the greatest, Jesus turns their expectations upside down. If you want to follow the way of Jesus you have to be willing to put power aside.
This is a theme that is returned to over and over again in the gospels. It is something we need to return to over and over again in our lives as we learn to follow Jesus and put aside our own ambitions.

Prayers & Psalms
Each Sunday, prior to the sermon we have created a space for more voices from our community; One of our children read a Psalm from ‘Psalms for Young Children’ by Marie-Hélène Delval.
Followed by a prayer, shared by a member of our congregation, focused around what's happening in the world, our country and our community. We have included these on our Prayers Page for you to revisit and reflect on the words that they shared.
