Children
Lighthouse Sunday School Programme
10:30am during Sunday service in term time. Lighthouse has four age-based groups ranging from age 1 to intermediate, led by supervisors who are supported by teenage volunteers.
We aim to introduce children to God in our Sunday morning sessions while demonstrating what it looks like to be a community dedicated to him. We look forward to you coming for a look around, having questions answered by our dedicated team and taking part when you are ready- we look forward to meeting you!
Groups
-
1-3 year olds
Our toddler group is led by Jess Schulz who has a Masters in Pre-school education. We begin with a mat time reading of a bible story and prayer with candles (LED), moving into free play and then finishing with morning tea. Parents and caregivers are welcome and will be able to take part in facilitating learning under Jess’s guidance. You are welcome to stay with your child if they are not settled.
-
4 year olds - School Year 2
Our young school-aged group is led by Jess Gill and supported by 4 teenage leaders who are with the children every week. They have a bible story, puppet shows, memory verses and lots and games and prayer time.
-
School Years 3-5
Our older school-aged group is led by Annabel Howe and is supported by 3 older teenage leaders who are there every week. We have get-to-know each other questions and small group time, learning about the bible, games illustrating what we’re learning and small group prayer.
-
School Years 6+
Feli leads our intermediate group as they delve into learning about their own relationship with God. There are a lot of discussions with videos, games and morning tea to finish - all questions welcome!
