Tears of Jesus |John 11:32-44

We have just had All Saints Day and so today we remember those we love who are no longer with us and the hope that Jesus brings in the face of death.

We also look ahead to Parihaka day on the 5th November, and remember the tears of that community as they faced injustice from those with power.

What we do with our tears of sadness or anger is so important. Our society often encourages us to bury grief and disappointment but that often transforms into hurt - of ourselves and others. Today our passage reminds us of the tears of Jesus and how he stopped to recognise his grief before acting.

John 11:32-44

Prayers & Psalms

Each Sunday, prior to the sermon we have created a space for more voices from our community; One of our children read a Psalm from ‘Psalms for Young Children’ by Marie-Hélène Delval.

Followed by a prayer, shared by a member of our congregation, focused around what's happening in the world, our country and our community. We have included these on our Prayers Page for you to revisit and reflect on the words that they shared.
